Creating four picture in picture effect with Edius Pro3

I recommend using the 25/25/50 formula or similar. (position/position/size)

1. place a clip on track1, this will be the PIP for top left

2. place a clip on track2, drag 3D PIP from track1 to track 2 and readjust the position value, this will be the PIP for top right

3. place a clip on track3, drag 3D PIP from track1 to track 3 and readjust the position value, this will be the PIP for bottom left

4. place a clip on track4, drag 3D PIP from track3 to track 4 and readjust the position value, this will be the PIP for bottom right

You are done and it should look like this on timeline

If you desire to see a background or animated background behind the 3D Pip movies, then use a bit of crop on each 3D PIP or use a smaller size, place the bg clip on V1 and the 3D PIP on V2 to V5

Note: the 25/25/50 formula is only a rough indicator, whatever you choose use the same values on each PIP but make them positive or negative. If say top left is -23/-24/48 then the top right would be 23/24/48

Also, you can add a drop shadow to each 3D PIP, this would require you to use values other than 25/25/50 or simply add more crop to each 3D PIP.
