DVD to Canopus AVI conversion using TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress
1. Copy the VIDEO_TS folder from your DVD to your hard disk
2. Start a new TMPG 4 project and click the Source Wizard - 
3. Choose the DVD Video option -
4. Browse for the VIDEO_TS folder from step 1 and click next -
5. If the DVD has more than one audio stream or language, choose accordingly and you don't need subtitles -
6. Make sure nothing is selected on this screen -
7. Now you may make sure the aspect ratio matches the DVD, then OK -
8. Click Format -
9. Select AVI file output -
10. Choose the desired Canopus Codec or any other codec of your choice and finally click Encode
